4/14/2010 Delayed Fingerprint Results: April 28-May 3, 2010
The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has informed us that there will be
a delay in the process of Criminal History Records Checks (CHRCs)/fingerprints from the period of April 28-May 3, 2010. This is due to the fact that the FBI is working with the U. S. Census Bureau to process 484,000 fingerprints over a period of three days. The FBI has requested that
All fingerprint providers suspend non-criminal fingerprint submissions from April 28 - May 3, 2010. The FBI will resume processing non-criminal fingerprints on May 4, 2010, but anticipates it will take an additional two weeks to process the backlog of submissions.
The National Air Transportation Association Compliance Services (NATACS) will continue to accept fingerprint submissions during this period and will hold them until cleared by the FBI to release them, at which time they will be released on a first-in, first-out basis. We recommend that you plan accordingly for this delay.
